These terms govern your use of fliptally.co.uk and the FlipTally app. By using the site or subscribing, you agree to them. FlipTally is operated by Nathan West, trading as FlipTally, a sole trader based in the United Kingdom, contactable at support@fliptally.co.uk or by post at FlipTally, 27 Old Gloucester Street, London, WC1N 3AX. FlipTally is an independent tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to eBay, Vinted, Depop or HMRC.

1. What FlipTally is

FlipTally is a tool that helps UK online resellers estimate their profit and the tax they may owe. The free calculator and the app produce estimates for general information only.

2. Estimates only, not advice

FlipTally does not provide tax, legal, accounting or financial advice, and is not a substitute for a qualified accountant or HMRC. Tax figures are estimates based on published HMRC rates and the information you enter, and may not reflect your full circumstances. Rates shown are for England, Wales and Northern Ireland; Scotland differs. You are responsible for your own tax affairs and for checking figures before you rely on them or file a return. We are not liable for decisions you make based on our estimates.

3. Your subscription

The free calculator and import tool stay free. The full app is a paid subscription. Key terms:

• The founding price is £29 a year (the standard price is £59 a year, which new members pay from January 2027) or £6.99 a month. Founding members keep £29 a year while they stay subscribed. The price you see at checkout is the price you pay.
• Automatic eBay sync is live now. Vinted is supported via its yearly report; Depop is planned for a later release. The tax calculator works for any platform.
• Your subscription renews automatically at the same price until you cancel. You can cancel anytime and keep access until the end of the period you have paid for.
• Prices may change for new sign-ups; your renewal price won't change while your subscription stays continuous.
• Features may change as we improve the product; we'll keep you informed of anything material.

4. Cancelling, and changing your mind

The FlipTally app is digital content and an online service that starts as soon as you subscribe. By subscribing and starting to use it straight away, you ask us to begin immediately and you acknowledge that you lose the usual 14-day 'cooling-off' right to cancel online purchases under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, because the service has already begun. This does not affect your legal rights if the service is faulty or not as described.

• 14-day money-back guarantee. Even though that cooling-off right no longer applies once you start, we give you our own guarantee: if FlipTally isn't for you, email support@fliptally.co.uk within 14 days of your payment and we'll refund you in full.
• You can cancel anytime from Manage subscription in the app (or by emailing us), and you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for.
• This is in addition to your UK consumer rights. If something goes wrong outside that window, get in touch and we'll deal with your request fairly.

5. Acceptable use

Don't misuse the site: no attempts to break, overload, scrape at scale, or interfere with it, and don't use it for anything unlawful.

6. Availability

The website and calculator are provided "as is". As a small, independent product, we don't guarantee uninterrupted availability and may change or pause features.

7. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from reliance on our estimates or from interruptions to the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law (such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud). Your statutory consumer rights are not affected.

8. Intellectual property

FlipTally's name, content and software are ours. You may use the site for your own personal, non-commercial tax estimation.

9. Changes

We may update these terms as the product develops. The "last updated" date above shows the current version.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the courts of England and Wales.
